The amitie girl and I are busy packaging month 1 of The Aunts Quilt block of the month today.
This quilt is beautiful with soft colours and beautiful folk art imagery. It has such a lovely retro feel to it!

we're in and open

Yes, we're finally into our new shop. It's been an interesting week with not much going to plan but after a few long days we're here and we love it. It feels like home already.
I could explain the move blow by blow but we don't have all day so I thought I'd share the photos we managed to capture (although, we did forget to take a photo when every bolt of fabric was piled in the middle of the shop at 7pm Tuesday night... Have I mentioned we opened at 9.30am Wednesday)!

I've always loved supporting local crafty types. So many of the girls making it big now I can say "I taught her", and it really makes my heart sing. This is a little different, as I've never taught anybody how to make a hat but I am still equally as impressed!
Nat is a friend of my daughter's and she's embarked on her own small business.

She's started making the most beautiful fascinators, and with the racing season just around the corner I thought I would spread the word about her beautiful creations.

All of Nat's creations are one of a kind. She likes to meet with her clients or see photos of the outfit before she starts her design process making sure your head wear truly compliments your style and is 100% unique.

getaway and catching up

I have been a busy bee these past few weeks. Juggling a move with a broken shoulder has been a little bit of a nightmare but we're getting there... slowly but surely we're getting there.

I was lucky enough to be treated by one of my Daughters, Abby. She took me away to Daylesford. I think it was an attempt to cheer me up as it was very soon after my fall. We had a lovely night away where we ate beautiful food, drank some lovely wine and got pampered.

Can you tell the desserts were a real favourite of mine?

The weeks since my getaway have been a bit of a whirlwind. I do remember to take photos of things around me but I have been struggling to find the time to blog about them.

 Clare from my Thursday class has finished her Parterre and doesn't it look great?

Lucy's girlfriend Kath came along to Jodie's Donkey class and was the only person to finish hers in the day.

Jodie will be back October 1st to teach another class. This time it's her gorgeous Elephant pattern. Please call the shop if you'd like to come along. Places are limited!

This lovely Liberty project appeared in the shop and I couldn't resist a photo.

I could keep going with photos I've snapped around the shop but I might save them for another day.
